Assemblywoman Russell tours Newton Falls Fine Paper‏

Newton Falls Fine Paper Company was recently awarded a $750,000 grant from National Grid for the mill's $27 million biomass energy project. This technology has been researched and developed at Clarkson University. This is a perfect example of how we can use the R&D in green technology at our local universities to spur local business growth and economic development.

Thursday Assemblywoman Addie Russell toured the facility and spoke with senior management about the complexities of dealing with New York State government and what might be done by the state to ease the path.

While touring the facility Assemblywoman Russell also watched the detailed process of making quality paper.
