I want to wish you and your family all the best in the New Year! My hope is that 2010 will be a happy and healthy year for you and yours. With the election of Congressman Bill Owens we accomplished what many would say was impossible in 2009. The new year will bring new challenges and your support and efforts will be the key to our success. Our local candidates like Bill Owens, Darrel Aubertine, Addie Russell and John Burns will be on the Ballot in 2010. With the Republican Party suffering historic losses in 2009 we can expect a bonified challenge to all our Local, State and National candidates.
I know New Year's resolutions are usally done on New Year's Eve but our fight for a more progressive North Country starts today- and we need you on the front line with us! Let's resolve to double our efforts in 2010 as well a bring along a friend or two to broaden the growing base of the Democratic Party in the North Country.
I hope and pray that your New Year will be a prosperous, peaceful and healthy one. Please take the next few days and truly appreciate those friends and family members that have given of themselves so that we could dedicate our time and efforts to our Party's causes. Lastly, we in the Jefferson County Democratic Party would like to thank all in the Military Community for all they have done to support our Country in 2009. They have shown selfless dedication to our County. Our Democracy is a testament to those that have lost their lives protecting this great Nation.
