Matt Barbalich (seen above) ,Jefferson County Democratic Committee member from the Town of Leray, is requesting that everyone get involved in nurturing the youth of our community through Big Brothers and Big Sisters. Big Brothers and Big Sisters has been assisting children from across the North Country since 1859 develop healthy lifestyles, family relationships, educational performance and community involvement.The North Country Democrat thinks getting involved in Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Watertown would be a great way to kick of the 2010 "Discover the Meaning" season. Big Brothers Big Sisters of the North Country will be holding it's 4th Annual Bowl For Kids’ Sake. The Jefferson County Democratic Committee would like all readers of The North Country Democrat to get involved in this worthy cause.
